sydney's new religion

I first met the
Sunday School boys about two years ago at the 2005 tsubi christmas party, through a friend of a friend of a friend (you get the idea hahahaha). Monthly residents @ Starfuckers, these suburban Sydney boys (andy, juls, az and yams) started djing together last december and are making waves in the city scene. They have been playing a few other gigs around town and seem to have a devoted following.

Here is their May 2007 mix:
featuring banging choons from the likes of:
SWITCH
KLAXONS
JT
&
MANY MORE

"May 2007" - Sunday School Dj's

Blaqstarr

Baltimore, blend of hip-hop and electronica, it was formulated in Baltimore, Maryland in the early 1990s. A premier Baltimore Club Artist, Blaqstarr has blown up the spot with his hard hitting baltimore mixes. This new genre of hip hop has come to grow in popularity in the past year or two and is taking over the dance floors of clubs around the globe.

NIN + PHONES = fun

I got sent this track by a mate of mine last night and haven't been able to stop listening to it. Phones, Paul Epworth (his site) has done a wonderful remix of the new Nine Inch Nails track, "Capital G". For those of you who haven't heard of Phones before, he is a remixer/producer based in England that only uses a Mac laptop to create all his remix's. He is incredible and has been famed for his remixes of The Rakes and prior to that his remix of Bloc Party's "Banquet" was epic.

Capital G (Phones Remix) - Nine Inch Nails

oh and can everyone get over to Disco.Delicious and download the Midnight Juggernauts remix of Dragonette's "I Get Around"!

i want to "†" you

"we've all got a bit of bape in us"

Earlier on this year i did a stutter edit of the track phantom by justice. I have since played with the track and made a second edit, that takes the first one and shoves a few more gurn spots in. Its pretty much me fucking around. Oh and check www.radiok.com.au - its some funny shit - listen on fridays at lunchtime to PeakingDuck - its a good segment.

Phan†om (rutt's sec2nd stutter edit) - Justice

oh and here is my favourite remix of D.A.N.C.E. so far:

D.A.N.C.E. (charlie fanclub remix)
- Justice

word on the street is that the new justice album has been leaked to a few people. some blogs (not this shitty one) have had the pleasure of getting some of the tracks. search hard young padawans and you will be rewarded with some sick music.

ed!BANGmeINtheASS please.....

The truth of it all is that if any DJ or producer in the whole 'scene' at the moment had the chance to join the EdBanger crew they would. I have therefore come to the conclusion that EdBanger should run a competition or something to allow for this to happen, but on one condition, the competition takes the form of Takeshi's Castle and DJ/producers from around the world have to complete an obstacle course in order to make it onto this prestigious French Record Label. This would be hilarious. Im actually considering how i could get this to happen. No joke. In the mean time, here are some sweet choon's for you all.

Killing in the Name (Mr. Oizo remix) - Rage Against The Machine.

Debbie's Shoes (Sebastian Remix) - Shesus

Never Be Alone (No Friends Refix) - Justice

Oh and Concretefish is too fast for all of you:

BONUS BONER!

Heres a deal - if anyone can find an mp3 of the MSTRKRFT remix of D.A.N.C.E. - lord knows what i will do for them.

blistA!

Blister - a French (Duo? Guy?) not sure.... I talked about them late last year - (check the archives)... anyway whatever they are, they are scrumptious. I can't really figure out who they associate within the Parisian/French scene.... meh. The sound that resonates from my speakers as I listen to these beats is progressive and powerful, although those words are commonly used to describe music of the now. What Blister creates is different in a way that i cannot describe. There is most definitly an indie influence on this electronica. Worth a listen.

"huit mille" - Blister

"that would be the place" - Blister

reccomendations:

head over to kidz.by.collete and grab the Mr. Oizo remix of Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the name of". I would also get in my sail boat and head north to chazology and grab the midnight art post and thrash it for all its worth.

here is another track - just for good measure.

I am yet to see a post on any blog that has included anything by the French? (not exactly sure) artist Solee. Here is a set rip of his track Impressed. I have scoured myspace and the like for any information on him, but alas i failed. Look on beatport maybe? oh here is his record label i think - Parquet Recordings

"Impressed" - Solee

A touch of France

Ask anyone that i know and they will agree to no end that
Surkin has been my favourite artist from the whole French scene since about July last year. I have a complete 0bsession (no pun intended) with this dude, from his style and precision in the first Justice release party (cram put your hand in the air), to his remixes that never cease to amaze me. His glitch-tek-ghetto-thug sound is uncanny to others, a true genius.

Here is a re-fit to the intro of Ghetto Obsession that i did this morning, bit of funnnnnnn!

Ghetto Obsession (Rutt's re-introinnnnntro)[96kbps] - Surkin

Radio Fireworks (Riot in Belgium Remix) - Surkin

p.s. for those who have been hiding under a rock for a long long while - Surkin is coming to Australia in June.
